  1. Set Base Rates for Vehicles: Ensure every vehicle has a base rate configured. This is required for automatic fare calculations. - Navigate to the Vehicle settings and input the base rate for each vehicle. - Without base rates, the system cannot calculate fares for direct bookings.

  2. Enable Automation in Customer Portal Settings: - Enable the "Enable Base Rate Automation on Customer Portal" option in your customer portal settings. This allows customers to see the calculated fare during booking, enabling them to make reservations directly rather than merely requesting quotes.

  3. Handling Specific Customers: - If you wish to allow only selected customers to make direct reservations for specific vehicles: - Log in to the Operator app. - Open Vehicle settings. - Under "Customer Portal Settings," toggle "Enable Reservation Requests on Customer Portal." - Add the customer to the Contacts list within these settings to grant them reservation access. - Save the changes, and the selected customer(s) can now book directly.

Converting Quotes to Reservations

To convert a quote into a reservation in Moovs:

  1. On the Quote, enter the fare, then send it to the customer for confirmation.

  2. Once the customer confirms the quote, it will automatically convert into a reservation in the system.

Farming Out Reservations

Once a trip is converted into a reservation, you can farm it out to another Moovs user:

  1. Open the reservation.

  2. Click on More.

  3. Select Farm Out Trip to assign it to another user.

Keep in mind that only reservations, not quotes, can be farmed out. Ensure the quote is converted prior to attempting to farm out.

Resolving "Request a Quote" Display Issues

If the booking form displays "Request a Quote" instead of facilitating direct reservations, the likely cause is a lack of vehicle pricing setup. Configure base pricing for your vehicles to enable direct bookings.
