Before You Begin
Auto Dispatch must be enabled in Settings → Auto Dispatch
The trip must be created and not already assigned to a driver
Drivers need the Driver App installed with push notifications enabled
Option 1: Auto Dispatch from a Trip
Use this method when you're viewing a specific trip and want to dispatch it.
Step 1: Open the Trip Menu
From the Reservations, click on the trip you want to dispatch to open the trip details panel.
Click the three dots labeled More in the top-right corner of the trip details panel.
Step 3: Select Auto Dispatch
Click Auto Dispatch from the dropdown menu.
Step 4: Start the Dispatch
Click Start Now to begin searching for drivers immediately.
Step 5: Monitor the Dispatch Progress
A modal opens showing all drivers who have been pinged. You can see each driver's status in real time as they receive and respond to the request.
Drivers within the configured radius receive push notifications. The first driver to accept gets assigned to the trip automatically.
Step 6: Cancel if Needed
If you need to stop the dispatch process, click Cancel Dispatch in the progress modal. The trip returns to unassigned status.
Option 2: Schedule Auto Dispatch for Later
Use this method to automatically dispatch a trip at a specific future time—ideal for pre-scheduling driver assignments.
Step 1: Follow Steps 1-3 Above
Open the trip, click More, and select Auto Dispatch.
Step 2: Enable Schedule for Later and Schedule a Dispatch Time
Toggle the Schedule Later option in the Auto Dispatch dialog.
Choose the date and time when you want the Auto Dispatch to begin searching for drivers.
Step 3: Confirm the Schedule
Click Schedule to set up the future dispatch. Moovs will automatically begin the driver search at the specified time.
Pro Tips
Schedule Auto Dispatch for 30-60 minutes before pickup time to give drivers time to accept and travel to the pickup location
If a dispatch fails, you can immediately retry it—the settings will use your configured radius and expansion values
Troubleshooting
Issue: No drivers are being found
Solution: Check that drivers are online in the Driver App and have push notifications enabled. Also verify your search radius settings in Settings → Auto Dispatch.
Issue: Auto Dispatch option is not available
Solution: Enable Auto Dispatch in Settings → Auto Dispatch and make sure the toggle is turned on.
Issue: Scheduled dispatch didn't start
Solution: Verify the scheduled time hasn't passed. Check that the trip hasn't been modified or assigned to a driver manually since scheduling.
